Define Melting point, Boiling point and Triple point of water using p-v diagram.

Melting point:

It is the temperature at which the solid is converted into liquid when heat is supplied.
 

Boiling point:

It is the temperature at which the liquid is converted into vapour when heat is supplied.
 

Triple point:

The temperature and pressure at which the solid, liquid, and vapour phases of a pure substance can coexist in equilibrium.
